My name is Laina, and I'm the founder and head trainer of Matus Training, established in 2023. I created this program with the goal of providing high-quality, personalized development opportunities for youth soccer players of all ages and backgrounds.
My playing career began at Egg Harbor Township High School, where I competed for four years on the varsity team. I went on to play collegiate soccer at Stockton University, gaining valuable experience at a higher level of competition.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve dedicated myself to coaching players across all age groups, from beginners learning the game to advanced athletes preparing for college and competitive club play. I currently hold a USSF C License and take pride in creating a player-first environment that challenges and supports every athlete.
In addition to running Matus Training, I coach with FC Europa—one of the region’s top clubs—where I’m entering my third year working with both individual players and elite-level teams. My approach is rooted in consistency, attention to detail, and a strong belief in the long-term development of each player, both on and off the field.

I’m Liv Farwell, and I bring a blend of playing experience, coaching expertise, and academic knowledge to my training sessions. I played for CB East High School and FC Bucks ECNL before continuing my career at Widener University, where I gained a deep understanding of the game. Currently, I’m pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT), which allows me to apply my knowledge of movement and biomechanics to help players develop more effectively.
I hold Grassroots coaching licenses and Level 1 & 2 Goalkeeping Licenses, and I specialize in creating customized training plans that improve technical skills, tactical awareness, and mental resilience. Whether I'm working with individuals or teams, my goal is to help players reach their full potential both on and off the field.

I have had the privilege of playing for both FC Warrington and MonU, where I honed my skills primarily in defensive positions, including both center and outside defense. My experience on the field has given me a deep understanding of the tactical and technical aspects of the game.
Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Widener University, where I am expanding my knowledge in the field of sports medicine and rehabilitation. This academic pursuit complements my practical experience in sports, enhancing my ability to support and develop athletes effectively.
For the past year, I have been working with Matus Training, where I coach players ranging from the U8 Academy level up to U13. This role has allowed me to apply my defensive expertise in training sessions, focusing on skill development, game strategy, and fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment for young athletes.

I have a rich background in soccer, having played for Towamencin, Whitpain, and Montgomery at the club level. I also enjoyed a successful four-year varsity career at Wissahickon High School, where I earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in both my junior and senior years, and 3rd Team All-Conference recognition as a sophomore.
Following high school, I continued my soccer journey at Chestnut Hill College for one year.
My coaching experience includes serving as the head coach for the Wissahickon High School junior varsity team from 2019 to 2023.
Throughout my playing career, I primarily excelled as a center midfielder, where I was able to leverage my skills and vision on the field to contribute effectively to my teams.

Hi, my name is Nicolete Colon. My journey in soccer began with my time at Philadelphia Soccer Club Coppa, where I developed a strong foundation in the game. I went on to play college soccer at Fairleigh Dickinson University, competing at the Division III level. Throughout my college career, I played primarily as a center back and an outside midfielder, roles that allowed me to showcase both my defensive skills and my ability to contribute offensively.
I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Forensics, which reflects my passion for understanding the intricacies of the field. My experiences on and off the field have shaped me into a well-rounded individual, and I’m excited to see where my soccer journey and academic background will take me next.

My name is Tensae Tadesse, a soccer player from Ethiopia with international experience. I was scouted at age 16 while playing in Ethiopia’s second division by former Crystal Palace player Jamie Fullarton. At 17, I moved to England to join his Just Football Academy, where I became the top scorer. I went on to play for Harrogate Town and was on track for a professional contract following the 2023–24 season, but unforeseen circumstances shifted my path. Seeking new opportunities, I moved to the U.S. and joined Montgomery County Community College, where I now play under Coach Hanley. Alongside playing, I’ve also begun coaching youth soccer, helping develop young players’ technical skills and passion for the game.

Hi there, my name is Sam Comonitski. I grew up in Blue Bell, where I’ve lived my entire life. My passion for soccer began early on with Whitpain, and it’s a family affair—my two younger siblings and older brother also played for Whitpain, so soccer truly runs in the family.
In high school, I was a varsity athlete for all four years, where I played primarily as a center mid, which allowed me to orchestrate the game from the midfield and contribute both defensively and offensively. My dedication to the sport paid off when I joined the Penn Alliance Academy team, and I was subsequently recruited to play college soccer at Holy Family University. I recently graduated with a degree in sports marketing, and I’m excited about how my experiences in soccer and academics will shape my future.

My name is Chrisofeso Blessing Simmons, and I’m a dedicated student-athlete currently attending Montgomery County Community College. Soccer has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I currently compete in the USL with Philly LoneStar and in the NPSL with the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals.
In addition to playing, I’m passionate about coaching and mentoring youth players. I’ve gained experience working with Sporting Delaware (U15 and under), as well as training players of various ages and skill levels through my own independent coaching sessions. I focus on helping players improve their fundamentals, develop confidence, and reach their full potential on the field.
A big part of my inspiration comes from working with my 11-year-old brother, who I train regularly. Seeing his progress has reminded me of how powerful consistent support and personalized coaching can be.
I’m a team player who brings patience, strong communication, and a positive attitude to every session. My goal is to create a fun, disciplined, and encouraging environment where young athletes can grow both as players and as people.
